Former Nottingham Forest manager appointed Kidderminster Harriers boss

Former Nottingham Forest caretaker manager John Pemberton has been appointed as Kidderminster Harriers' new boss.

Pemberton takes over from James O'Connor at the National League North outfit, who finished in tenth place last season.

The Aggborough side have been out of the Football League since 2005.

Pemberton spent over ten years at Forest on the coaching staff and took charge of the club when Colin Calderwood was sacked in December 2008.

He left the City Ground at the end of the season when new boss Billy Davies took stock of his backroom team, with the 3-0 win at Manchester City in the FA Cup the highlight of his short tenure .

Most recently in caretaker charge at Chesterfield , Pemberton won the Central League title with the Reds' reserves during his time on Trentside.

He's also had spells at Sheffield United and Bristol City before taking up the Kidderminster post
