Former Nottingham Forest defender 'mulling over two offers'

Released Nottingham Forest defender Adam Crookes is pondering two contract offers since leaving the City Ground.

The left-back, 21, spent the second half of last season on loan at Port Vale and became a regular starter under manager John Askey.

But earlier this month he was released by Martin O'Neill, allowing him to start the search for a new club.

Crookes' agent, Phil Sproson, told Radio Stoke that Askey had offered a deal, but he was not alone in doing so.

“He’s got two offers which he’s mulling over, one of which is the Vale’s," said Sproson.

“He is leaning towards Vale but it’s a crucial decision for him at this time of his career.

“He’s done quite well at Vale and he’s made one or two admirers elsewhere. He’s got to decide now what’s best for him.”

The Forest academy graduate never featured for the first-team but did make 34 appearances across three loan spells with Vale, Lincoln City and Guiseley.
