Former Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi speaks out on Qatar return

Sabri Lamouchi says he is "happy to be back" in Qatar as he spoke about the challenges facing him as the new manager of Al Duhail.

The Frenchman was sacked by Nottingham Forest earlier this month, but did not have to wait long for a job in football following his departure from the City Ground.

Al Duhail are owned by the same people who own Champions League finalists Paris St Germain, but saw the Lamouchi era get off to a fine start as they beat Qatar SC 2-1 at the weekend.

He was officially unveiled as their manager earlier today and  addressed the media about his return to the country having previously managed El Jaish.

He said: "I am happy to return to Qatar in a place that I greatly appreciate, and I will take on a new challenge with one of the biggest Qatari teams.

"We must be realistic. My presence here means that things were not going well, which is why I was used to supervise the team, and so far I have had three training sessions and a match."
