Former Nottingham Forest boss Mark Warburton 'set to be confirmed' as QPR manager

Former Nottingham Forest manager Mark Warburton is close to being named as Queens Park Rangers' new manager, claim reports.

The 56-year old was one of a cast of applicants interviewed for the role at Loftus Road, including Gary Rowett, Michael Appleton and Tim Sherwood.

And, according to Sky Sports News, Warburton is set to take charge in West London, allowing him the entire summer to prepare his squad for next season.

Ex-Rangers chief Warburton has been without a job since being axed at the City Ground in 2017, being sacked on New Year's Eve following a 1-0 defeat to Sunderland.

Since then he has been linked with roles as 'director of football' at Bolton Wanderers and 'technical director' at Burnley.
