Nottingham Forest Academy product Arvin Appiah will continue his football development under the tutelage of Real Madrid galactico Guti.
Appiah came up through the ranks at the Nigel Doughty Academy and made eight appearances for the first team, but left the club in the summer.
The 18-year-old joined Spanish second division side Almeria in a deal understood to be worth in the region of £8m. He put pen to paper on a five-year deal.

Appiah has made just four appearances this season for his new club since leaving the Reds, with his debut a start in a goalless draw away to Deportivo, and the following three outings all coming from the substitutes’ bench. He is yet to score a goal.
Almeria sit second in La Liga 2 having lost just twice so far this season, but are 10 points adrift of leaders Cadiz.
Guti replaces Pedro Emanuel, who was sacked despite their lofty position, to take charge of his first senior coaching role.
Guti spent 15 years at Real Madrid as a player, and also coached in their youth set up.
