Keith Gillespie has a new role in football after being named as club ambassador for Bangor FC.
The former Northern Ireland winger will work with all players at the Co Down outfit, from the youth set-up to senior level.
Gillespie will also act as a mentor to young players and play an "active part in developing the club’s coaching methodology."
The former Manchester United and Newcastle United star told Bangor's website: “I am honoured to have been appointed as an ambassador for Bangor FC.
"There are a myriad of important things that fall under the umbrella of a football ambassador, but nothing as important as helping local youngsters.
"Having grown up in Bangor and gone on to reach the top of my profession, it’s important for me to help create opportunities for others in the local community. I’m determined to inspire local young players to play for the Seasiders, and showcase their talent.
"I am looking forward to representing my hometown club and sharing my Premier League and international football experience with all our players and fans."
Bangor chairman Nicky Davidson added: "I’m pleased that Keith has taken on the Ambassador role at Bangor FC and is giving back to grassroots football at his hometown club.
"Keith is truly an outstanding addition to Bangor FC. His passion, experience and commitment will help develop and inspire young players from the local community, so they can fulfil their potential and play senior football at Bangor FC.
