Former NFLer Jeremy Shockey prices Miami Beach penthouse at $3 million

Dec. 27--Former professional football player Jeremy Shockey has put a penthouse condominium in Miami Beach, Fla., on the market for $3 million.

Shockey, who won Super Bowl titles with the New York Giants and New Orleans Saints, bought the condo a decade ago for $1.45 million, records show.

Set atop the Waverley Building, the Contemporary-styled corner unit features curved lines, coffered ceilings and walls of windows and sliding glass doors. Sweeping views take in the ocean, bay and surrounding coastline.

An open-plan living room, a kidney-shaped wet bar and a galley-style kitchen with blue-colored cabinetry are within the 2,582 square feet of interiors. The master suite has a step-up bed platform and a private balcony for a total of three bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Outdoor features include a terrace patio. A single covered parking space is also included with the unit.

Reid Heidenry of ONE Sotheby's International Realty is the listing agent.

Shockey, 35, played 10 seasons in the NFL for the Giants, Saints and Carolina Panthers, making four Pro Bowl teams. The tight end out of the University of Miami last played in 2012.
