Former NFL QB Matt Hasselbeck predicts Texans will go to the Super Bowl

The Houston Texans haven’t earned many Super Bowl predictions from network analysts and commentators. However, ESPN’s Matt Hasselbeck is a believer.

For ESPN’s 2019 Commentator Predictions, Hasselbeck chose the Texans to win the AFC South and meet the New Orleans Saints in the Super Bowl. The Saints, ultimately, according to Hasselbeck, will win the game over Houston.

Could Monday be a preview for the big game? The Texans will travel down to New Orleans to face a loaded Saints roster on ESPN’s Monday Night Football.

Hasselbeck is a former NFL quarterback, with playing time split between the Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans, and Indianapolis Colts. He’s a three-time Pro Bowler and started, but lost, Super Bowl XL in 2006. Hasselbeck faced Houston seven times in his career as a starter.

Hasselbeck isn’t the only ESPN commentator high on the Texans. Sunday NFL Countdown host Sam Ponder has quarterback Deshaun Watson winning the MVP award.
