Former N Brown boss Angela Spindler joins board of Manchester tech firm Hiring Hub

Angela Luger, the former boss of Debenhams and N Brown, has joined fast-growing Manchester tech business, Hiring Hub, as a non-executive director.

Angela née Spindler, left N Brown last September after five years at the helm as CEO.

She spearheaded the business’s transition from a catalogue-focused business into an online retailer.

Prior to that she has held positions at Debenhams, Asda, and Mars. She is also a non-executive director at Portmeirion, ScS Group, and the Madrid-based DIA group.

Angela joins PurpleBricks marketing director, James Kydd, and ex-MD of Lorien, Ian Brookes, on the board of Hiring Hub.

She said: “Hiring Hub is an ambitious company and I’m joining at an exciting time.

“It’s going after a huge market opportunity; using technology to consolidate and organise 1000s of specialist recruitment agencies with the goal of helping employers source better candidates, faster.

“Companies have long struggled to find the talent they need to keep pace with growth, particularly for experienced hires,” continued Luger.

“Hiring Hub opens up a fresh channel for employers to acquire candidates through independent recruitment agencies, which is proving very effective.”
