Former Munster player and coach Felix Jones helps South Africa to win the Rugby World Cup

South Africa have beaten England 32-12 to win the 2019 Rugby World Cup with a significant Munster influence running through the victors.

The Springboks dominated the set-pieces and kept the scoreboard ticking over throughout with Handrè Pollard kicking superbly.

But just as England looked to edging back into the game, a sweeping Sprinboks move was touched down by Mapimpi.

And then their flying winger Cheslin Kobe put the gloss on a comprehensive win with a trademark finish in the corner.

It is a third World Cup for South Africa and a career-defining achievement for head coach Rassie Erasmus who left Munster in 2017 to take over his national team.

But some might not be aware that this year he plunged the province for their backs coach Felix Jones.

Jones, who had to retire from playing in 2015 due to a neck injury, became the defence consultant for the Springboks ahead of the World Cup.

And Dubliner Jones was a big part of the brain trust that held a rampant England side to try-less today.
