Former MSU hockey defenseman Duncan Keith is being traded

Duncan Keith was an anchor at the blue line for the Michigan State hockey program from 2001-2003 before being drafted 53rd overall by the Chicago Blackhawks.

Since arriving in Chicago, Keith has spent the past 16 seasons leading the Blackhawks blue line and winning 3 Stanley Cup’s in the process.

It appears that Keith will be on the move for the first time in his long career, as the Edmonton Oilers have reportedly traded for the veteran defenseman.

Keith helped lead MSU to back to back NCAA Tournament appearances.
