Former MSU guard and Bahamian ‘Tum Tum’ Nairn, family safe from Hurricane Dorian

What is happening right now in the Bahamas, as Hurricane Dorian rips through it, is devastating, tragic, and hard to watch. Many Spartan fans have recently expressed concern about Bahamian and former Michigan State point guard Lourawls ‘Tum Tum’ Nairn Jr and his family. Fortunately, Graham Couch of the Lansing State Journal communicated with MSU’s Sports Information Director and was told that Tum Tum and his family are safe.

According to Couch and the SID, Tum Tum, who is now a player development coach for the Phoenix Suns, was not in the Bahamas during the storm and his family was not on the island that took the worst of the damage.

This is good to hear but our thoughts are still with all of those who have suffered the damage and destruction caused by the hurricane.
