Former Mrs Redknapp and Eternal singer Louise is to play Nottingham's Rock City on 2020 comeback tour

She was a member of the 1990s all-girl pop group Eternal before launching a solo career that resulted in 12 hit singles - and now Louise is back with a new album and a tour that includes a date at Rock City.

The 11-date jaunt around the UK next year will see the 44-year-old Londoner performing some of her biggest hits alongside songs from Heavy Love, her first album in 18 years.

"Making this new album has been a real emotional and honest process for me," says Louise, who was married to footballer-turned-pundit Jamie Redknapp. They split in 2017 after 19 years of marriage. The couple have two sons, Charley and Beau.

"I love performing live and touring and I can’t wait to take the new album on tour and perform all these new songs for everyone."

Eternal were the first girl band ever to sell over one million albums with their 1993 debut Always & Forever. Hit singles included Stay, O Baby I, Save Our Love, Crazy and Just A Step From Heaven before Louise quit in 1995 for a solo career.

Sisters Easther and Vernie Bennett and Kéllé Bryan continued to record and perform as Eternal until 1999.

As a solo artist, Louise had 12 consecutive Top 20 hit singles, including Let's Go Round Again, Arms Around The World, Undivided Love and 2 Faced. Her debut album, Naked, sold over a million copies.

Her last single, Pandora’s Kiss, was a Top 5 hit in 2003.

She was a finalist on Strictly Come Dancing in 2016  and a judge of TV talent show  So You Think You Can Dance.

Heavy Love will be released on October 18.. Recorded in Sweden, London and LA, the album was written with Clean Bandit, Jojo, RAYE, Eg White, Sinead Harnett and Karen Poole. The first single from it, Stretch, reached No. 1 on the iTunes video chart.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, April 5 from Ticketmaster or AXS.com. Prices have yet to be confirmed.
