Ryan Bowman says he is beginning to feel better after being taken to hospital following heart issues in Shrewsbury Town's loss against Ipswich Town.
The former Motherwell forward started the match but was subbed in the first half and swiftly taken to hospital after complaints of heart palpitations.
Shrewsbury manager, Steve Cotterill, revealed post-match that Bowman’s heart rate was as high as 250bpm.
Motherwell's ex-striker has been met with floods of support online but has taken to social media this morning to confirm he is in a better condition following the scare.

He said: “Thank you for all the messages & support they do mean a lot. Feeling better this morning just waiting for further tests.
“A special thanks to the medical staff from Shrewsbury and Ipswich and also the staff at the Ipswich Hospital.”

Bowman spent three years at Fir Park, joining Motherwell in 2016 and leaving in 2019 after 14 goals from 86 appearances. He also contributed 13 assists.
The 29-year-old was part of the Motherwell side which reached the 2017 League Cup and 2018 Scottish Cup finals, beaten by Brendan Rodgers' Celtic on both occasions.
He departed the Scottish Premiership in January 2019 for Exeter City and this summer earned the move to Shrewsbury.
