Former Motherwell winger Steven Lawless has signed a short-term deal at Championships side Dunfermline Athletic until the end of this season.
The 30-year-old was a product of the Motherwell youth system and returned to the club in January 2021, but fell out of favour and left by 'mutual consent' in October, having made just six appearances this season.
Lawless, who also enjoyed successful spells at Partick Thistle, Livingston and Burton Albion, will be eligible to play for the Fifers from January.
Pars boss John Hughes said: "First and foremost he's a real quality player, he brings experience, Premiership experience, and he's probably one that can unlock the door.
"He's got a wand of a left foot. He's one that I've chased ever since I was the manager at Inverness.
"He can take you up the park, he can look after it, and I feel he'll be a fantastic addition."
