Former Miss Ireland Aoife Walsh shares bad wedding news but has positive message

Former Miss Ireland Aoife Walsh took to Instagram to reveal she’s postponing her wedding until next year due to COVID-19.

Tipperary-born Walsh was supposed to tie the knot with her fianceé this July but has pushed the date forward due to the coronavirus outbreak.

She said on Instagram: “It won’t be our original date but I know it’s going to be just as great.

“As you guys know I was supposed to be married this July but naturally it ain’t happening for us. We’ve officially postponed our wedding to 2021”

The bride-to-be's hen part was due to happen in Ibiza last weekend but she instead posted a photograph of herself raising a glass with a huge smile in her garden at home.

She said: “This weekend would’ve been my Ibiza hen with my bridesmaids.

“It didn’t happen, as you can see I’m in Costa del Clonmel seeing the funny in it all!!

"Especially when I rock out to my Dad in the garden dressed like this to tell him the shots are ready.”

“If you don’t laugh you’ll cry!”

Walsh reached out to other brides in the same situation as her, she added: "Fellow brides,we will party until our legs drop off when the time comes and on the bright side we get to wear silly veils and bridal hoodies like this for another year!”

Although her wedding had to be postponed, it comes after Walsh being rejoined by her fianceé after spending two months apart.

She said: “I am grateful my family and friends are safe and healthy and to have my man by my side once again."
