A NSW man is facing 136 charges, accused of defrauding a mining company he worked for of nearly $2 million.

Police say the fraud was committed between 2009 and 2017.

A 72-year-old Wollongong man was charged in January with 56 offences, including dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception and obtaining money by deception.

Police will allege in court that the man used his employment at a mining company to fraudulently obtain and use funds valued at more than $1.9 million.

The man will appear at Orange Local Court on Monday where detectives will lay an additional 80 fraud-related charges.
