A lot of former Michigan State Football players have been finding new homes lately via the NCAA transfer portal, but another Spartan has found a new home as well, and he’s not a player. It was announced on Friday that former Spartan offensive coordinator Dave Warner will become the new offensive coordinator at UTEP.
Warner spent was with MSU during the entire Mark Dantonio era, where he served as the quarterbacks coach from 2007-12 and then again in 2019, and also as the co-offensive coordinator and running backs coach from 2013-18.
He will now get another chance to coach offenses, which he has had success with in the past at UTEP.
