While Michigan State has a nice cadre of former basketball players who are currently excelling in the NBA, that’s not the only option to continue playing basketball at a professional level. Former Spartan Kenny Goins has spent his time since leaving East Lansing tearing it up in Europe, where last season he played well in Italy. It looks like that time spent in Italy turned a few heads overseas because on Saturday it was reported by Sportando that Goins has signed with Kolossos Rhodes, a team in the top-tier level of the Greek League.
As we mentioned, Goins spent last season with Pallacenaestro Trapani in Italy where he averaged 11.5 points and 6.5 rebounds. If Goins can continue to put up solid numbers and impress in the competitive Greek League, he could earn an opportunity to try out for NBA teams in the future.
