Michigan Football

Former Michigan football player Craig Roh has passed away at the age of 33 after battling Stage IV colon cancer for 18 months. His wife, Chelsea Roh, shared the news on social media, highlighting Craig's private struggle and his focus on his business endeavors.

Throughout his life, Craig Roh excelled in both sports and academics. Starting his athletic journey at a young age, he played football and basketball, eventually becoming a standout player at Chaparral High School in Arizona. Roh's talent led him to receive numerous accolades, including being named Arizona Gatorade Player of the Year and Under Armour All-American.

Accepting a scholarship to the University of Michigan, Roh continued to shine on the football field, setting records and earning prestigious titles such as freshman All-American and All-Big Ten. His success extended to the professional level, playing in the NFL for the Carolina Panthers and later in the Canadian Football League for the BC Lions, where he secured a Grey Cup championship.

Transitioning from football, Roh ventured into the technology industry, working for startups in Austin, Texas. He also pursued his passion for football by establishing an online defensive line coaching business.

Roh's personal life was marked by his marriage to Chelsea in 2016 and the birth of their son, Max. Described as a devoted family man, Roh prioritized his faith, relationships, and business ventures, embodying a strong work ethic and unwavering dedication.

As the Roh family mourns his loss, a GoFundMe campaign has been set up to cover medical expenses and support Max's future education. Funeral services for Craig Roh will be held in Phoenix, Arizona, on March 16.
