The first female Director General of MI5 is coming to Liverpool next month, and she’ll be answering all your questions.
Dame Stella Rimington, who is said to be the inspiration behind James Bond’s ‘M’, is taking part in a special event called How to be a Spy on June 18, where she’ll tell all about her various roles in the Security Service.
Dame Stella will discuss her roles as the former boss of one of the most legendary security services in the world and best-selling author of the Liz Carlyle crime novels.
Liverpool RISE festival to celebrate inspirational and extraordinary women
The event, which forms part of the city’s RISE programme to celebrate inspirational women, will be held at St George’s Hall .
Dame Stella said: “This is my first event of this kind in Liverpool and I’m delighted to be part of the programme, held in the beautiful surroundings of St George’s Hall which I hear is a spectacular venue.

“I look forward to speaking about my career, to sharing some of my experiences, and to taking questions from the audience too.”
