Former Manchester United player Ander Herrera pays Eden Hazard the ultimate compliment

Manchester United's outgoing midfielder Ander Herrera has named rival Eden Hazard as the best opponent he faced in the Premier League.

Herrera will leave United this summer, and is due to join PSG. But before he leaves, he took to Instagram to reflect on his toughest adversary.

Watching the Europa League final, Herrera saw Hazard score twice to help Chelsea to a 4-1 demolition of Arsenal in what appears to be his final appearance for Chelsea.

And Herrera posted: "Just watching the EL final, I can say that Hazard is the best player I have played against in my 5 years playing in the Premier League."

The revelation will come as no surprise to United fans, who watched Herrera and Hazard battle in an ongoing personal duel that will be remembered as one of the best in recent years between two players of rival clubs.

Herrera was often used to man-mark Hazard, so he will know about Hazard's ability more than most.

But United fans will be relieved to hear Hazard all but confirm his departure from Chelsea after the final in Baku as he conceded he is set to leave Stamford Bridge.

Hazard scored or assisted seven goals in 16 appearances against United during his time at Chelsea, losing on just four occasions.

Needless to say, fans loved Herrera's post...
