Former Manchester United midfielder attracting Premier League transfer interest

Former Manchester United midfielder Tosin Kehinde is generating interest from Premier League newcomers Brentford.

Kehinde, 23, has excelled in the Danish Superliga with Randers and Brentford's link with Denmark runs deep, as their owner Matthew Benham also owns Midtjylland.

Brentford's manager, Thomas Frank, is Danish and the club had two players in Denmark's European Championship squad that reached the semi-finals.

Kehinde is believed to be a back-up option for Brentford and Championship side Barnsley have already had an offer rejected for the United academy graduate.

Middlesbrough have expressed interest in Kehinde, as well as Ligue 1 side Troyes. Monaco and Rennes are believed to be monitoring the Nigerian-born midfielder.

Brentford have signed Ben Hockenhull and Max Haygarth from the United academy in the last year.

Kehinde, who played in the same United youth team as Marcus Rashford, Axel Tuanzebe, Scott McTominay, and Dean Henderson, was raised in Manchester and told the Manchester Evening News earlier this year he was eager to return to England.
