Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane makes Premier League title prediction

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane believes Liverpool will be pushed all the way by Manchester City in this season's Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp's side currently hold a two point lead over the reigning Premier League champions, but have the opportunity to open up a five point lead with a win over Chelsea this afternoon.

After suffering a shock defeat to Norwich last weekend, City responded in the best possible way yesterday afternoon, with a convincing 8-0 win over Watford at the Etihad.

And Keane believes should Liverpool win the league, then they will do so having been pushed all the way by Pep Guardiola's side.

"They’ve got everything you need, you look the run they’ve been on, they’ve got vast experience, they’ve got goals, they’ve got pace, they’ve got energy," the former Republic of Ireland international told Sky Sports.

“They’ve had a brilliant start to the season and it will take a lot for Chelsea to stop them today, so they’ve got everything you need to win a league title but they’ve got to go and do it.

“It’s a big chance again for Man City. They reacted well to their disappointment last week as all teams do. You’re going to have setbacks, they responded well - particularly over the weekend.

“If Liverpool are going to win the title, City will push them all the way.”
