Former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho makes surprise Liverpool FC Champions League prediction

Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is backing FC Porto to knock Liverpool out of the Champions League.

Mourinho is out of work after being sacked by United in December following a poor start to the season.

United have since booked their place in the quarter-finals under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with Barcelona next up.

The former Porto boss has now been speaking about the upcoming Champions League ties.

Liverpool take on Porto and Mourinho is predicting his ex-side to cause a massive upset by beating Jurgen Klopp's team.

Mourinho feels that the Reds Premier League title race is set to derail their hopes in Europe.

"Porto have a chance to win and go through," said Mourinho at the ANTV Forum.

"Compared with last season, I think Sergio Conceicao will ask himself questions about what happened in order to do something different this time around.

"The tie is open and what happened last year, I believe, can play for Porto in both games.

"Liverpool have absolutely fantastic individual quality, but they are disputing the league title which means that they will not rest players in the previous game or between the two games."
