Former Man United star sends DR Congo through to the World Cup

World Cup DR Congo the World Cup Axel Tuanzebe

DR Congo booked their place at this summer’s World Cup with a 1-0 play-off win over Jamaica after extra time on Tuesday night.
The winning goal was scored by former Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe in the 100th minute after Jamaica failed to clear a corner.
Tuanzebe, who now plays for Burnley, helped his team keep a clean sheet as DR Congo qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 52 years.
The African nation competed as Zaire when last featuring at a World Cup in 1974.
DR Congo will now play Portugal, Colombia and Uzbekistan in their World Cup group.
