Neither Manchester United or Chelsea have got off to the best start this season, but one former United star says Frank Lampard is already coming to terms with the big job better than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Chelsea were beaten 4-0 by United on the opening day of the season, but since then Solskjaer's side have struggled. They have only won twice since that day, beating Leicester and then FC Astana in the Europa League, while there have been draws against Southampton and Wolves and losses against Crystal Palace and West Ham.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have beaten Norwich and Wolves, but also drawn against Sheffield United and Leicester, while suffering losses against Valencia and Liverpool (as well as the UEFA Super Cup loss on penalties against Jurgen Klopp's side).
However, former Manchester United star Paul Ince says that despite the similarities between the two sides' records this season, and both of their managers, there is one team he would much rather be watching so far.
"I think of Ole in the same way as I do Frank Lampard," Ince told Paddy Power . "Two young managers, lacking experience, thrown into two massive clubs.
"But if you gave me the choice of who I’d rather be watching this season, it’d be Chelsea all day long – and that hurts me as a former United captain.
"At least when I look at Chelsea, I see what they’re trying to do, the way they play, their identity – they’re pressing high, getting tight, and creating chances. They can only get better.
"Can anybody tell me what United are trying to do? Because I have no idea. They’re so reliant on the young lad Daniel James – who is brilliant, but was in the Championship with Swansea last season – it’s crazy.
"There’s nobody else there that excites me."
