Former Man United captain Roy Keane delivers Man City vs Liverpool Premier League title verdict

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has given his verdict on who he would like to see win the Premier League title.

It looks as though it is going to be another two horse race in England's top-flight, with Liverpool currently leading Manchester City in the standings.

Last season saw Pep Guardiola's side edge out Jurgen Klopp's men, claiming the crown by just a single point on the final day of the season.

And when asked on Monday Night Football, following Manchester United's draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford, who he would prefer to win this season's title, the United icon gave a diplomatic response.

“Do you know, I wouldn’t begrudge either team," Keane said. "I’ve never been one of these lads that would hate clubs, be anti-Liverpool or be anti-City.

“I think if Liverpool go on to win it then they deserve it. I don’t mind City winning it, the football they play. Brian Kidd is there, I have a lot of time for Brian Kidd. So no I wouldn’t be one of these ones begrudging these teams because I know how hard it is to win it.

“And if a team wins it, then good luck to them, you have got to them the credit they deserve.”
