Former Man City star Mario Balotelli punches Adana Demirspor player after being substituted

Incensed former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli could find himself in hot water once again after punching one of his own teammates.

The 31-year-old, whose greatest moment in a City shirt came providing THAT assist for Sergio Aguero to help the club wrap-up their first Premier League title, has often been subject to controversial headlines during an enigmatic playing career at the Etihad Stadium and beyond.

Now playing with Turkish side Adana Demirspor - having signed a three-year deal there this summer window - the 36-cap Italy international has endured a modest start to his time in the Super Lig.

Indeed, the former City striker has yet to open his account for the club, while a 1-1 draw with Konyaspor means the player is still waiting for his first league victory.

And he may be made to wait a little longer if Adana take action following his latest explosion.

In his most-recent outing on Friday night, Balotelli was replaced by Francis Ezeh at the Yeni Adani Stadium - on 57 minutes - and to say the Italian reacted angrily would be an understatement.

Balotelli stormed off the pitch and took his seat in the dugout.

A series of shouts and items being thrown followed, while Balotelli took his reaction to another level by striking his teammate in the arm with his fist, as can be seen from the above clip.

The bizarre incident was all dealt with rather calmly by the Adana staff and fellow players on the bench.

Balotelli, who played for City for two-and-a-half years between August 2010 and January 2013, scored 30 goals from 80 appearances at the Etihad Stadium and is under contract until 2024.
