Former Man City star couldn't watch when Liverpool's Mohamed Salah unleashed 30-yard rocket against Chelsea

Mohamed Salah unleashed a sensational 30-yard strike to send the Anfield faithful into complete delirium on Sunday.

The Egyptian superstar's effort, which nestled in the top right corner of Kepa Arrizabalaga's net, gave Liverpool a 2-0 lead in the crucial Premier League match which was enough to see them home and return to the top of the table .

The football world sat up , watched and hailed the Reds attacker after his goal but there was one man who couldn't even bring himself to look up from his dinner.

Former Manchester City goalkeeper Shay Given was on global punditry duty alongside Ian Wright and Steve McManaman.

As the goal went in former Arsenal striker Wright was left open-mouthed but as the camera panned right Given barely even glanced up from eating his food as pandemonium ensued at Anfield and inside the studio with ex-Liverpool midfielder McManaman celebrating the wonder goal too.

Of Salah's memorable effort, Klopp said: “It blew me away. I was really happy and I saw it because I was in line with the ball.

“Maybe I saw it first that it would go in! It was a really, really outstanding finish, and I don’t want to minimise that.

“But I loved the first goal and I was immediately reminded of the 4-3 against Borussia Dortmund. Hendo instead of Milly and Sadio instead of Dejan, but good team play, good cross, good header.

“The performance was really good but you need the goals, and we got them.”
