Former Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray back as editor of Saamna

MUMBAI: Close to a week after Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, the executive editor of Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamna, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray once again took over as the editor. He replaced his wife, Rashmi, who became Saamna editor in March 2020.

Thackeray’s name was in the print line of Saamna on Friday as its editor. Raut continues to be the executive editor. Rashmi had replaced Uddhav when he relinquished the post in November 2019 to take oath as the CM.

Saamna, known for its aggressive editorials, was founded on January 23, 1988.
