Former Love Island star Ellie Brown has slammed the latest winter version of the ITV dating show.
Ellie, 20 - who starred on the show back in 2018 - has admitted that she feels the new format is "too much", and that one series a year is enough.
Speaking to The Daily Star, the blonde beauty slated ITV producers by claiming that the show is now just a huge 'money-making machine'.

"I do think it's too much and I think it's more mainly a money-making machine now."
Although she's not a massive fan of the latest series - which stars stunners such as Sophie Piper and Siannese Fudge - Ellie insisted that she feels it is doing well just because it's the first winter format, and viewers are drawn in and intrigued by that.
The former islander who famously feuded with Georgia Steel while in the villa, also revealed that she feels people apply to Love Island these days to get famous, not for love.

"I think because it's got so big, now when people go in there you question whether they're in there for the clout, but like with us, we're already in the public eye so it is genuinely just our real lives and relationships that you know about."
This revelation from Ellie comes after she admitted that she turned down the chance to join the cast of Geordie Shore.
The Love Island beauty, 20, says following her time in the villa, she was contacted by MTV bosses who were keen to sign her up.

But she shut down discussions, telling execs the show really isn't her thing.
During an exclusive chat with Mirror Online on her upcoming stint on Celebrity Ex On The Beach, she told us: "I got offered [Geordie Shore] but I said no, it's just not really me.
"I've not got anything against what they do but I'm not that kind of Geordie, I don't drink that much and I'm not a very good Geordie.

"And even on Love Island I was with my boyfriend but I wouldn't let him touch me in bed because my dad was watching so it's like the opposite of Geordie Shore."
Ellie also revealed her secret connection to former Geordie Shore star Sophie Kasaei, who is another celeb starring in MTV's new all-star version of Ex On The Beach.

The girls knew each other way back before Ellie joined the world of reality show fame, and when Sophie ran a boutique in her hometown of South Shields.
"I worked for Sophie when I was 16," Ellie confessed.
Sophie added: "When I had my boutique in South Shields little Ells used to work for me. I knew Harley [Brash] really well, I used to babysit her and they became best friends. It's so weird that she came into this industry and into this work."
