Former Liverpool striker tells Jurgen Klopp to complete 'no brainer' transfer

Liverpool have been told by a former player that signing Jude Bellingham is a “no brainer” this summer.

The Reds continue to be linked with a move for the Borussia Dortmund midfielder, who has been widely touted as one of the brightest talents in Europe. His form for the German club has seen plenty of interest in his services.

Bellingham has plenty of admirers within the Anfield hierarchy, but there is an acceptance that a deal is not likely to be possible this summer. After the sale of Erling Haaland to Manchester City, Dortmund are not likely to be willing to let another of their star players go in the same window.

Despite this, former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore believes his old club should make a move to sign Bellingham. Collymore argues why the age of other members of the squad mean it’s important for the Reds to bring the Dortmund star to Merseyside.

“I think that Jude Bellingham would be absolutely sensational.” Collymore told CaughtOffside .

“I was reading this morning that James Milner will be offered a [contract] extension at Liverpool, but that Fabinho, Henderson, Thiago and Milner quadruple are getting older.

“So for me, somebody like Jude Bellingham would be an absolute no brainer.”
