Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch makes Mohamed Salah and Luis Suarez admission after win over Watford

Peter Crouch believes Mohamed Salah has surpassed both Luis Suarez and Fernando Torres at Liverpool.

The forward scored twice as the Reds claimed a 2-0 win over Watford - a victory that saw Jurgen Klopp’s side maintain their unbeaten start to their Premier League season.

Salah has now been involved 57 goals in 52 league games at Anfield - goals and assists - since joining the club from AS Roma in the summer of 2017 for an initial €42m fee.

And Crouch believes the Egyptian was the difference between the two sides at Anfield.

“Ridiculous numbers. Similar to (Luis) Suarez and (Fernando) Torres when they first came to the club,” the former Reds forward told BT Sport post-match.

“But he has surpassed both of them. He was the difference today. Watford couldn’t finish their chances and Mo Salah was clinical again.”

The former Chelsea man has now scored eight times in just five appearances for the Reds against Watford and Joe Cole believes the Egyptian is currently a joy to watch.

He said: “It is an elite footballer playing at the heart of his game in our league and it is a joy to watch.”
