Former Liverpool striker Fernando Torres to star in Amazon Prime documentary

Former Liverpool goalscorer Fernando Torres is set to star in his very own Amazon Prime documentary.

The SpainWorld Cup winner made 142 appearances for the Reds ,scoring 81 goals in all competitions, after his move to the club in 2007.

According to Deadline, Fernando Torres: El Último Símbolo will re-trace the iconic forward's career - from bursting onto the scene with his boyhood club Atletico Madrid to his Liverpool switch and beyond.

The documentary will also journey through the Spaniard's recent retirement from football, having played his final game for Japanese outfit Sagan Tosu back in August.

It will also feature interviews from former team-mates and coaches as well as Torres himself.

This follows Amazon's recent documentary series on Real Madrid and Spain defender Sergio Ramos which aired in September as well as Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard's 'Make Us Dream' from 2018.

Last week, the popular streaming service also announced Tottenham Hotspur were set to be the latest Premier League side be featured in its 'All or Nothing' series, following Manchester City's appearance last year.
