Former Liverpool star Fabio Aurelio explains what sets Andy Robertson apart from rivals

Fabio Aurelio has hailed Andy Robertson as a "complete player" - and believes the Liverpool left-back is only going to get better.

Robertson, 26, is one of the best in the world in his position and helped guide the Reds to Champions League glory last season and the brink of the Premier League title this campaign.

Indeed, the Scotland captain is one of the first names on the team sheet, having become an integral member of Jurgen Klopp's Reds.

And Aurelio, who spent six years at Anfield, has lavished praise on the former Hull defender.

The ex-Liverpool star told the club's  official website : "He's kind of the complete player because physically he's well capable of going forward and going back he defends very well.

"He's quick, so his one-v-one is good and defensively that's very important in the scheme Klopp plays. He goes forward very easily.

"One thing that calls my attention is that he's always improving, he's not comfortable in his situation being first choice.

"You will see that in every game he plays as his last one, so that's courage.

"The two full-backs of Liverpool right now are unbelievable. We can contest in any kind of way."

Meanwhile, the Merseyside derby will be played at Goodison Park on June 21 after Liverpool City Council gave the go ahead for Everton and Liverpool to complete their remaining at fixtures at home.

Everton are due to host Liverpool when both clubs resume their campaigns in 10 days' time, and the match could see Liverpool claim the Premier League title if Manchester City lose to Arsenal next Wednesday.

That had led to concerns fans could congregate around the ground in breach of restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic, but following meetings involving the clubs, health authorities, the police and the council, the match has been given the green light.
