Former Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge makes Paddy 'The Baddy' Pimblett plea after stunning UFC debut

Daniel Sturridge has pleaded with UFC president Dana White to stage a Paddy 'The Baddy' Pimblett headline event in Liverpool, insisting he would buy 'front row seats'.

Pimblett captured the headlines on his UFC debut on Saturday evening after securing a first-round knockout against Luigi Vendramini.

The 28-year-old has promised a Conor McGregor-like rise throughout the sport prior and has already himself urged White to bring the UFC back to England.

"I'm here to take over, lad. I'm the new cash cow. I'm the new main man on the UFC roster," he declared.

"People are going to be calling me out now. You know who the boy is!

"Dana, Shelby, let's get England back on, lad! Let's get back to the UK.

"Get your boy in the main event, or the co-main, and I'll blow the roof off the gaff."

One person who is certainly keen for this to take place is former Liverpool striker Sturridge, who has called for 'The Baddy' to make an appearance at a UFC event in his home city.

Posting on social media, Sturridge tweeted: "We need a @PaddyTheBaddy headline event at the echo in Liverpool ASAP. @ufc @danawhite please make this happen.

"Would be epic to see a local lad boss it in the city. I’ll buy front row seats when it happens. What a fighter."

Responding to this tweet from the ex-England international, Pimblett said: "Thank you very much fella."
