Former Liverpool player Paul Ince caught doing x-rated hand gesture on BT Sport

A former Liverpool player was caught on camera doing an x-rated hand gesture on BT Sport this morning.

Appearing on the Early Kick-Off show previewing football for the day, Paul Ince was spotted giving a w***** sign shortly before the ad break.

Gesturing towards Chris Sutton live on air, players Peter Crouch and Robbie Savage got the giggles over the action.

But Sutton failed to see the funny side of things, looking away from Ince unimpressed.

BT Sport apologised to viewers once they returned from the ad break if they had seen 'a certain rude gesture.'

The formed LFC player played a total of 81 games for the club during his time there from 1997-1999.

Starting his career at West Ham in his late teens and later for Man United, many fans were surprised to see him making the move to Liverpool in 97.

The incident is not the first time BT Sport have issued an on-air apology for an offensive hand gesture, with Spurs legend David Ginola branding host Jake Humphry a "w*****" on the channel back in 2013, the Mirror Online reports.

His response came after Humphrey had mocked his choice of ripped jeans and trainers attire, making the gesture behind his back as he shared a laugh with Owen Hargreaves and Steve McManaman.

On that occasion, BT Sport tweeted an apology, stating: "BT Sport would like to apologise for any offence that was caused during this morning’s/Saturday’s broadcast. David Ginola apologised straight afterwards as he realised this was an inappropriate action."

Former United and Liverpool star Ince this week accused the Red Devils of copying Liverpool's model for success.

"I look at United and I feel like they’re almost copying a  Liverpool  model," Ince told Paddy Power.

"They got Virgil van Dijk in and United got Harry Maguire in, and it seems they’ve gone for three forwards too, pacey players like [Anthony] Martial, [Jesse] Lingard and [Marcus] Rashford – I don’t see where Lukaku fits into that – so I’m not surprised Ole let him go."
