Former Liverpool midfielder sends classy message after Anfield exit

Isaac Christie-Davies has opened up on his exit from Liverpool with a social media post this afternoon.

The 22-year-old began his footballing career in the youth ranks at Chelsea before he switched to the Reds.

The midfielder spent time on loan at Cercle Brugge last season but was released by Liverpool at the end of the 2019/20 campaign.

He had been at the Reds for two years following his aforementioned move from Stamford Bridge but unfortunately for the Brighton-born playmaker, he couldn't force his way into Jurgen Klopp 's plans.

Christie-Davies has now spoken about his time at Liverpool as a move to Barnsley was confirmed.

"After two great years at @liverpoolfc it’s time for me to move on to the next step in my career. I would like to say thank you to all at the club including team mates , all the staff on and off the pitch and supporters," he said on his personal Instagram account.

"It was a childhood dream to play for Liverpool so I’m honoured to have been able to do that. An extra thank you to the fans for the support , you are what makes the club what it is #ynwa."

Christie-Davies was released by Liverpool along with Nathaniel Clyne, Dan Atherton, Shamal George, Kai McKenzie-Lyle, Jack Walls, Alex Turner and Abel Rodrigues at the end of June.
