Former Liverpool and England full-back Glen Johnson says he expects Mauricio Pochettino and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to both be given time to turn things around at Tottenham and Manchester United respectively.
The Spurs boss is currently enduring one of the toughest periods in his five year reign with the north London club.
Following the 7-2 thrashing at the hands of Bayern Munich in the Champions League, Spurs were comfortably beaten 3-0 by Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon to extend their poor run of form on the road.
All this comes just months after Pochettino guided Spurs to the Champions League final, with the Argentine's side going down 2-0 against Liverpool at Atletico Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
But Johnson believes that both Pochettino and Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is also under increasing pressure with the Red Devils in 12th place with just nine points, will be given time to turn things round.
However, he admits that they need to do so fast as they are both currently "managing mid-table sides".
"There’s obviously a long way until the end of the season, but if things don’t improve you’ve got to fear for Mauricio Pochettino and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Tottenham and Manchester United," Johnson told BETDAQ.
"You might think both managers have got plenty of time to turn things around, but they’ll need to do it pretty quickly as at the moment both of them look like they are managing mid-table sides, not the Premier League powerhouses we are so used to seeing."
