Former Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp has described Man City as the best Premier League side he's ever seen, even better than Arsenal's invincibles and Manchester United's treble winning team.
City once again took the lead in this roller-coaster of a Premier League season on Wednesday night after a dominating 2-0 victory against Cardiff City.
The Blues had 27 shots compared to Cardiff's mere four and had 79% possession. Only an inspired performance from Bluebird's goalkeeper Neil Etheridge kept the score-line repsectable.
The win saw Pep Guardiola's side leapfrog Liverpool into first by a single point, though the Reds will once again have the chance to reclaim top spot when they face Southampton on Friday.
The performance against Cardiff wasn't City's best, yet they completely controlled the proceedings after making several changes.

It showed City's strength in depth and understanding throughout the squad and as a result Redknapp heaped on the praise.
"We’re talking about one of the best sides in the world,” he said on Sky Sports.
“For me, the best side I’ve seen in the Premier League.
“I played against the Invincibles, we saw the United team that were fantastic.
“I just think this side are so good, total football.
“I watched them against Fulham at the weekend, they come at you from every angle.
“Every player on the field had a shot on goal, it’s total football. It’s like the Dutch in the ‘70s.
“They are a wonderful side to watch.”
