Former Detroit Lions defensive tackle has announced his retirement from the NFL. And befitting a mountain of a man, he did so in epic fashion: from the top of the tallest mountain in Africa.
Ngata clearly planned this one out. He carried a banner to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro that revealed his decision to end his football career. The 5-time Pro Bowler represented all three of his NFL teams — Baltimore, Detroit and Philadelphia — on the banner.
Ngata played three seasons (2015-17) with the Lions.
Enjoy retirement, Haloti. Then again, it looks like he already is…
