Former Lions CB Nevin Lawson signs with the Oakland Raiders

Nevin Lawson didn’t have to wait long to find his new NFL team. A couple of weeks after being dumped by the Detroit Lions, the cornerback has signed a deal with the Oakland Raiders.

Lawson signed a one-year deal worth just over $3 million, per a report from NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

The 27-year-old cornerback, who started opposite Darius Slay for most of the last three seasons with varying results, announced the move on his own social media as well. Lawson was the Lions’ fourth-round pick out of Utah State back in 2014 and quickly worked his way into the top three CBs, first as the slot and then on the outside.
