Former Linfield youngster Jack Chambers joins EFL Championship club Luton Town

Former Linfield youngster Jack Chambers has signed for Luton Town.

The attacking midfielder has joined the Championship club as a free agent following his release from West Bromwich Albion at the end of last season.

Chambers had joined the Baggies from Linfield as a 16-year-old back in 2016.

The now 20-year-old had continued to train full-time with the Hawthorns club before featuring in some recent friendlies for Luton's development squad.

“I’ve come here on trial and played two games, got a couple of assists in those games, and I’ve hopefully impressed," Chambers told Luton's website.

"I’m looking forward to playing more matches than I’ve been able to recently at West Brom.

“There is a lot more of a pathway here for me. It all seems really good and promising.

"Even having meetings with the Chief Executive, you don’t really get that a lot as younger players at other clubs. That tells you a lot about the club you’re coming into and I’m really excited to be here.”
