Paul Robinson has backed Leeds United to win the Championship on the pitch this season.
Marcelo Bielsa's side are busy preparing for a proposed return to action later this month following the coronavirus shutdown.
Yet there are still plenty of questions over what would happen if the campaign cannot be fully completed, particularly if the Premier League's project restart proves to be successful.
Former Leeds keeper Paul Robinson believes that the likelihood is that the Championship will be completed - but admitted that fans would be satisfied however promotion is achieved.
“I think Leeds are going to win the league by merit," Robinson told MOT Leeds News.
“They want to finish their games and get the points.
"Then no one can turn round and say, ‘You went up by default, you went up using a system that’s never been used before’.
"Leeds are in a great position to avoid that. But listen, it’s got to the point with Leeds that you’d take promotion however it’s offered.
"If it’s points-per-game you won’t find a lot of Leeds fans complaining about it, even if the majority want to go up on merit.
"If the Premier League is going to finish, the Championship should finish.”
