Former Leeds United owner sacks same manager twice within seven-week period

Former Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has continued his trend of sacking managers not long after hiring them, except this time there's a twist.

The Italian businessman, who sacked eight different managers in his two years as Leeds owner, bought Serie B side Brescia after he sold the Whites back in 2016 and hasn't seemed to have changed his ways whatsoever.

But with the club having a poor season as they currently sit in the relegation zone, Cellino decided to take action into his own hands and sack manager Pep Clotet in December last year.

Clotet was then replaced by Federico Aglietti for two games, a 1-1 draw against Palermo and a 1-0 loss to Sudtirol, before being reinstated to his position as manager two weeks later on January 16.

However, since then, Brescia have seen 3-1, 1-0 and 4-0 losses to Frosinone, Como and Perugia meaning Clotet has once again lost his job.

This time, he has been replaced by Davide Possanzini in an attempt to help the club climb back up the Serie B league table.
