Emmerdale viewers are in for a treat with former Leeds United man Chris Kamara set to make a cameo in some upcoming episodes.
Kamara was a fan favourite at Elland Road, and he is a regular on our screens nowadays on shows like Soccer Saturday and Ninja Warrior.
He will play a manager for a local football team that are playing against Emmerdale, and the show's producers say that the big village football match will see the villagers’ competitiveness put to the test.
Expect fireworks when Doug, played by Duncan Preston, and Jimmy, played by Nick Miles, hear who the opposition manager is.
Chris Kamara said: “I watch Emmerdale with my wife and my son, in fact my son is a massive Emmerdale fan so if I was coming down, they had to come too.
"It was a great day and I loved it! I essentially got to play myself and not a character, but hopefully that'll be the next thing along the line."
Kammy has retained a good relationship with the Leeds faithful, even introducing the for their huge Elland Road show to celebrate Leeds United's centenary year.
