Former Leeds United striker Jermaine Beckford believes Eddie Nkeitah may have tipped the balance his way as his battle with Patrick Bamford for a starting berth continues.
The on-loan Arsenal forward is yet to start a Championship match for the Whites since arriving on deadline day in the summer.
Despite not being selected from kick-off, Nketiah has had a fantastic impact from the bench, scoring four times in the league.
The dilemma over which striker United should start with has become a long and arduous debate amongst supporters, the media and even Marcelo Bielsa himself, who has broached the subject several times in his press conferences.
At Hillsborough, Bamford was once against given the nod before Nektiah replace him at half-time, as United drew 0-0 with Sheffield Wednesday.
However, after a lively display, former Leeds favourite Beckford believes that Nketiah may have edged ahead in the battle to be the club's first-choice number nine.
"The better chances fell to Wednesday. There were one or two chances when Eddie Nketiah came on and he was lively," Beckford told Sky Sports after the 0-0 draw.
"When he came on, he created a lot of chances. He got the defenders worried about his movement.
"It's something that was lacking in the first half when Patrick Bamford was on the field.
"He showed that he can do more than just score goals. He has given the manager food for thought.
"Granted he has scored goals and got in great positions but Eddie has not offered the other side of the game which Patrick Bamford provides on a regular basis.
"Now I think the manager has a really big decision to make on whether it should be Bamford or Nketiah in the next game.
"I think they should both play together. It would have to be a 3-5-2 with two wing-backs. I don't think it is (Bielsa's way). If it's just one, Eddie Nketiah should be the man."
