Former Leeds United ace James Milner shows his Yorkshire roots in hilarious self-isolation video

Former Leeds United star James Milner has a reputation of being able to have a laugh at himself.

Milner's off-field personality has been magnified in recent years, partly thanks to the viral Twitter account @BoringJamesMilner.

The parody account has gained popularity for its mundane posts which have even seen Milner himself buy into.

After plenty of stunts in the past on the social networking site, Milner has now posted an update of his routine at home during the self-isolation period enforced by the coronavirus outbreak.

The Liverpool star was posting in response to his colleague Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who posted a video earlier in the week of a dance routine he had perfected along with his girlfriend and Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards.

In true Milner style the former Whites ace posted a video of himself rationing his teabags for the week - Yorkshire Tea, naturally.

He posted: "Hey @Alex_OxChambo. Barrels of laughs here in the Milner household as well - rationing the tea bags for the week."

The 34-year-old's dry sense of humour has certainly won him plenty of fans, judging by the fact that over 7,000 people re-tweeted him.

Milner came through the ranks at Leeds, making his first-team debut at just 16 years and 356 days.

He went on to earn a big-money move to Newcastle and has also represented Aston Villa and Manchester City, earning 61 England caps.

He has already won two Premier League titles with City and will be hoping that a third arrives with current runaway leaders Liverpool - whenever this season resumes.
