A former Leeds Rhinos player had his home transformed in a project aired on national TV.
Chev Walker and his wife Lauren's house has been given a makeover on George Clarke's Old House, New Home on Channel 4.
The couple, who have two young children together, bought the house in the outskirts of Mirfield for £225,000 six months ago.
The Victorian stone farmhouse property has a 70s red brick extension and three bedrooms.
During a tour of the property, George described it as 'back to front' 'terrible on every level' and described the decor as dated.
He joked: "Well look at that for a period house - well about two thirds of it is a lovely period house. The other third of it is a dog’s dinner."
After the £105,000 transformation, Lauren, who is an events manager, says: "I'm actually speechless.
"It's just amazing. I can't believe it's our house. I feel like I've walked into some beautiful show home."
However, as the Daily Mail reported, some viewers disagreed and argued that a 'lovely period home' had been 'ruined by making it modern'.
Chev played both rugby league and rugby union professionally.
He played in the position of centre for Leeds Rhinos between 1999 and 2006, including the Super League.
The 37-year-old is now head of player production and assistant coach for the team.
